My name is Shana Campbell, and this is my blog for my fairy tales class.
I've always liked fairy tales. I used to just enjoy them as stories, but since high school, I have enjoyed analyzing them and using them as back drops for my own fiction. I like to see the common and recurring themes, archetypes, and symbols in them and how they work within the tale. I also like to trace their influences into other works and genres, especially fantasy.
